SAM & BARBARA, A DAY OUT IN EXETER WITH MY FUJIFILM X100
Sam’s got a reading week, Mark was coming down from Bristol for the day, we all met up in Exeter, the girls shopping, I found a great new Gatsby flap cap by Jasper Conran in the sales, oh, and I had the Fujifilm X100 with me.

I love reportage, but it takes a lot of nerve really, walking around town taking pictures of complete strangers. Well only one way to get better, practice and practice some more, so today I took the camera into Exeter today, the girls dragged me in and out of shops all afternoon, I found a great new hat and took a few pictures. The first picture was just before we left home, cold winter day in the garden, same old story, take 20 pictures and you’ll get one good one.

Although I took a lot of people when I got back this picture just stood out, a quick picture looking down the stairs in the Urban Outfitters, F2 with my Fujifilm X100.

The last picture of the day, me, my Fujifilm X100 and a great new Gatsby flat cap by Jasper Conran - by Brent Meheux
The last picture of the day, a quick picture in the mirror of my new camera, the Fuji X100 and my new hat, a great Gatsby flat cap by Jasper Conran, all of £11.99 in the Debenhams sale. I’ve got a real weakness for hats this winter, this is the 4th flat cap I’ve bought this winter alone, looked at quite a few Trilby’s as well, but I don’t know what it is I just think they’re too old for me, or is it a class thing?
